Panasonic showcased sustainable heat pumps at ‘Hear, See and Feel a Heat Pump’ vent outside Parliament

Panasonic showcased its commitment to sustainability and innovation in heating solutions at an event hosted by the Heat Pump Association (HPA) on 15th October 2024, held at Old Palace Yard, Westminster. The event, sponsored by the MCS Foundation, aimed to educate MPs, Lords, and journalists about the benefits of energy-efficient Air-to-Water Heat Pumps. Attendees had the opportunity to hear, see, and feel a running heat pump firsthand, furthering awareness of the importance of decarbonising homes.

During the event, Panasonic demonstrated its advanced heat pump solutions using its fully equipped mobile van. The highlights included the Panasonic L Series air-to-water heat pump, a cutting-edge solution ideal for retrofitting older properties with existing radiators. The L Series delivers water outlet temperatures of 75°C down to -10°C with a SCOP of up to 5.6, achieving an A+++ Energy Class rating and using the environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant with a GWP of just 3. This innovative system is particularly suitable for replacing traditional gas or oil-fired boilers.

Also on display was Panasonic’s Hybrid ready heat pump system, which seamlessly integrates with existing boiler systems, providing a practical step toward reducing carbon emissions. The company’s residential air conditioning units with nanoe™ X technology were also featured, offering energy-efficient heating and cooling while improving Indoor Air Quality by inhibiting pollutants, viruses, and bacteria.

Panasonic experts were on hand to provide detailed insights into the technology, reinforcing the company’s commitment to accelerating knowledge and adoption of low-carbon solutions in the UK. The event further solidified Panasonic’s position as a leader in sustainable heating and cooling innovations, aligning with the global 2050 targets outlined in the Paris Agreement.
