Shipping policy
Ref-Sol Ltd supplies Goods which are delivered directly to the Customer by our supplier, TEFCOLD, or its appointed carriers. Delivery methods and service levels may vary depending on product type and location.
For items exceeding standard shipping dimensions or weight limits, Ref-Sol Ltd reserves the right to contact the Customer to agree any additional delivery charges or special delivery requirements prior to dispatch.
Deliveries to offshore locations, remote areas, or highlands may incur additional charges. These will be communicated and agreed with the Customer before shipment.
Goods shall be delivered to the address specified in the Order or as otherwise agreed (“Delivery Location”). The Customer is responsible for ensuring:
- Accurate delivery information is provided
- Adequate access is available
- Suitable unloading facilities, equipment, and labour are in place
Delivery shall be deemed complete upon arrival of the Goods at the Delivery Location. Ref-Sol Ltd shall not be responsible for any onward handling, positioning, installation, or internal movement of the Goods unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Any delivery dates provided are estimates only. Time of delivery is not of the essence. Ref-Sol Ltd shall not be liable for delays caused by:
- Circumstances outside our control (including supplier or carrier delays)
- Failure by the Customer to provide correct or complete delivery information
- Failure to accept delivery
Where delivery fails due to Customer default, Ref-Sol Ltd reserves the right to charge for re-delivery and/or abortive delivery costs.
Where Goods are not delivered, Ref-Sol Ltd’s liability shall be limited to the value of the Goods not received or, at our discretion, replacement of the Goods.
Goods may be delivered in instalments. Each instalment shall be treated as a separate contract. Delay or defect in one instalment shall not entitle the Customer to cancel other instalments.
Inspection, Damage & Shortages
The Customer must inspect Goods immediately upon delivery.
If Goods are damaged or items are missing, the Customer must:
- Clearly record this on the delivery note at the time of delivery
- Notify Ref-Sol Ltd within 24 hours of delivery
Ref-Sol Ltd reserves the right to reject any claims for damage or shortages where:
- The delivery note has been signed as “received in good condition”
- No issue has been recorded at the time of delivery
Delivery notes marked as “unchecked” will not be accepted as evidence for damage or shortage claims submitted after delivery.
